November Demo for Lolita’s Retirement Saturday 11/28
A demo will be held Saturday November 28, 2009 in front of the entrance to the Miami Seaquarium parking lot to promote the retirement of their lone orca, Lolita. She has been kept in an illegal tank there for the last 39 years and we are going to tell the public and administration that she has made them enough money over the years and now it is time to let her go back to her natural environment off the coast of Washington State. Once relocated she would be placed in a large bay pen and taken care of by humans along with being taught how to hunt and forage, she will also be able to interact with, and one day even join her pod, which includes her mother. Orca’s have an incredible memory and social structure and she should have no problem remembering and being re-accepted into her pod once she regains the vital skills she needs to be a wild orca. PLEASE JOIN US NOVEMBER 28TH TO SHOW EVERYONE THAT LOLITA DESERVES MUCH MORE THAN LIVING OUT HER DAYS IN A CRUMBLING CONCRETE FISH BOWL.
