This is  a great article on Ric O’Barry, former dolphin trainer at Miami Seaquarium turned activist.  This article will show you have captive marine mammal facilities foster brutal dolphin drive fisheries across the globe.  O’Barry speaks of many issues including the brutality of the captures, the captive industries involvement, and the mercury contamination of the dolphin meat itself.  Make sure to check out his documentary “The Cove” when it comes out on July 31st of this year.  Ric is truly a hero in the animal activism field, I have never met someone with so much passion and dedication to these beautiful marine mammals.  We need more Ric O’Barry’s in the world today.
